Social Video Producer (Opinions)

Location: DC-Washington-TWP Headquarters; on-site five days a week

Salary: $82,600–$123,800 annual, with possible bonus or incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Collaborate with Opinion journalists to turn commentary and perspectives into engaging vertical videos.
• Produce and edit rigorous social-first videos reacting to current news and real-world events.
• Advise columnists on filming and publishing social-friendly video formats.
• Work with social media editors to promote clips and build engaged communities on brand accounts.
• Develop recurring formats and franchises that encourage audience habit and community growth.
• Edit quick-turn and evergreen podcast clips for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant journalism experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut.
• Proficiency with Photoshop and Illustrator for thumbnail design.
• Prior experience working on social accounts or creator channels.
• Familiarity with analytics dashboards such as YouTube, CrowdTangle, or Sprout.
• Deep understanding of social platforms and their different audience dynamics.
