Oncology Lab Genetic Counselor (Oncology)

Location: US Remote; ideal candidates reside in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones and work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST/PDT).

Salary: $91,200–$114,000 USD annually, plus eligible additional compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Review and finalize oncology test results and communicate relevant findings.
• Answer healthcare provider questions about oncology testing products.
• Provide pre- and post-test genetic information sessions to patients by telephone.
• Develop patient consents, genetic counseling protocols, SOPs, and educational materials.
• Write or collaborate on abstracts and papers involving oncology tests.
• Support internal and field oncology teams, laboratory operations, conferences, and scientific presentations, with less than 10% travel.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Genetic Counseling or a related field.
• Board certification from the American Board of Genetic Counseling or the American Board of Medical Genetics.
• At least two years of oncology clinical and/or laboratory genetic counseling experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain genetic counselor licensure in all states offering licensure.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft products.
