Payroll Analyst, USA

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico; based in Guadalajara, Mexico with onsite or hybrid work

What you will do

• Process end-to-end biweekly and semi-monthly U.S. payroll in accordance with federal and state wage-and-hour requirements.
• Validate earnings, deductions, taxes, benefit contributions, final pay, payroll inputs, and processed output files.
• Reconcile payroll before submission and maintain accurate employee data across HRIS and vendor platforms.
• Partner with Payroll, HRIS, IT, HR, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external providers on configuration, testing, integrations, and system improvements.
• Prepare payroll registers, GL files, tax reports, reconciliations, and KPI reporting for audits, budgeting, and planning.
• Support compliance controls, year-end processing including W-2 validation, legislative updates, and internal and external payroll audits.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in payroll, HR administration, payroll processing, or a related field; an advanced degree with little or no experience may also qualify.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, wage regulations, payroll taxation, and multi-state payroll operations.
• Experience with ADP GlobalView is highly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, plus data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• High attention to detail, confidentiality, communication, collaboration, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
