Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Cuajimalpa, Mexico

What you will do

• Drive accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities across multiple business entities.
• Manage balance sheet and subledger reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and resolve accounting issues.
• Maintain accurate global intercompany accounting and complete effective eliminations.
• Deliver financial analysis and expense insights to support business decisions and performance improvement.
• Partner with teams to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency.
• Maintain audit documentation and reliable audit trails while supporting successful audit outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Up to two years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related environment.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Proactive approach to continuous improvement and delivering accurate, high-quality results.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, credit card processing, or financial services.
• MBA and/or CPA designation.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX or another enterprise accounting system.
