What you will do

• Architect and develop scalable, high-performance simulation software for robotic and automation solutions.
• Lead the integration of simulation environments using Emulate3D and Sim3D.
• Design simulation frameworks, APIs, and services that integrate with production robotics software.
• Apply MBSE principles to define system behavior, interfaces, and performance characteristics.
• Build tools and infrastructure for testing, debugging, validation, and optimization in simulation.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction for modeling, simulation, and system architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 8+ years of professional software development experience focused on modeling, simulation, or complex systems.
• Strong development expertise in Python and/or C++.
• Required experience with Emulate3D or Sim3D from Rockwell Automation.
• Proficiency in simulation development, system modeling, software architecture, asynchronous or concurrent programming, Linux/Ubuntu, Git, Jira, testing, and CI/CD.
• Ability to architect large-scale systems, work autonomously, navigate complex codebases, and communicate technical strategy and tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics, automation, or material handling systems.
• Experience with distributed systems, high-performance simulation, robotics simulation, digital twins, virtual commissioning, or MBSE methodologies.
• Experience developing APIs and SDKs, RESTful or gRPC services, and profiling data with Python and pandas.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, MongoDB, hardware-in-the-loop, or software-in-the-loop testing.
