Operations Research Engineer (Optimization)

What you will do

• Translate complex supply-chain and production situations into formal optimization models.
• Prototype competing approaches, build proofs of concept, and validate feasibility and value.
• Industrialize algorithms by integrating models into production software, data pipelines, product interfaces, and automated workflows.
• Balance optimality, runtime, memory usage, performance, and explainability.
• Validate algorithms against baselines and golden datasets, define KPIs with stakeholders, and improve adoption.
• Design solutions for large-scale environments with millions of events and deep multi-level bills of materials.

Requirements

• Background in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Production experience with optimization methods including MILP, LP, or CP.
• Understanding of precision, speed, memory, and large-scale performance trade-offs.
• Hands-on production coding experience; Kotlin/JVM is used in the engineering stack.
• Ability to collaborate with product, engineering, operations, and customers to obtain data and deliver solutions.
