Senior Product Applications Engineer (Ethernet)

What you will do

• Support the design-in and deployment of Taurus Ethernet retimers for cloud service providers, server OEMs, and network OEMs.
• Provide technical guidance to customers and resolve complex system design challenges.
• Perform silicon and system bring-up, validation, characterization, and debug in customer systems.
• Use Python to automate system validation and link optimization.
• Debug embedded firmware at the SerDes SoC or MCU level and work with lab equipment such as traffic generators, analyzers, and high-speed oscilloscopes.
• Create datasheets, application notes, validation summaries, and other internal and customer-facing documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience designing in complex SoC or silicon products for server, storage, or networking applications with cloud service providers or server and network OEMs.
• Experience developing or supporting Ethernet switch, retimer, or PHY products, including direct integration of 112G/224G-per-lane Ethernet retimer or gearbox products.
• Experience with silicon and system bring-up, customer-system debugging, and collaboration with silicon characterization and validation teams.
• Familiarity with QSFP-DD, OSFP, and/or CMIS specifications, plus software and firmware build environments, GCC/Make, Doxygen, and GitHub.
• Intermediate Python proficiency and intermediate C proficiency; C++ experience is also relevant.
