System Validation Senior Staff Engineer (Ethernet)

What you will do

• Execute and develop comprehensive functional testing of high-bandwidth Ethernet switching silicon systems to verify behavior and performance.
• Debug complex switching silicon and system platforms, focusing on Layer-1 issues, including SerDes, signal integrity, and link stability.
• Collaborate with software developers, hardware design engineers, and architects to investigate and resolve system-level issues.
• Utilize and enhance modern automation tools and validation methodologies to improve existing flows and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C#, along with experience in automation and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of high-speed SerDes and equalization techniques.
• 5+ years of experience specifically in High Speed IO testing, debugging, and validation.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information as defined under U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of L1/L2 Ethernet layers and standards.
• Knowledge of Memory, PCIe, and Ethernet system interfaces.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as high-speed oscilloscopes, BERT analyzers, and TDR/VNA.
• Familiarity with board CAD tools including Cadence and Allegro.
