Hardware & Silicon Validation Senior Staff Engineer (SerDes/Ethernet/PCIe): Own post-silicon validation of high-speed SerDes PHYs and interfaces, from lab bring-up through functional and compliance testing with an accent on Ethernet/PCIe/D2D physical-layer performance, equalization/link characterization, and end-to-end PHY validation reporting. Salary: $143,400 - $212,230 per annum (base pay range)

What you will do

• Validate Ethernet/PCIe/Die-to-Die high-speed interfaces in a post-silicon environment, including PHY debug and functional testing.
• Execute end-to-end SerDes validation ownership: document, run, and report overall PHY validation for hirify.global custom silicon devices.
• Perform lab-based silicon bring-up and SerDes engineering focused on Ethernet/PCIe/D2D physical-layer functionality.
• Troubleshoot failing tests using diagnostics, hardware analyzers, and software tools; drive technical issue resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Support development and productization of advanced SerDes (including next-gen Ethernet and PCIe generations) into customer applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) with 5-7 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 3-5 years of experience.
• 3+ years of experience with high-speed IO testing, debugging, and validation.
• In-depth working knowledge of SERDES characterization test equipment (e.g., scope, BERT, network analyzer).
• Strong understanding of high-speed SerDes, equalization techniques, and SerDes links/channels.
• Working knowledge of Ethernet/PCIe interfaces and characterization.
• Experience with Python (or another programming language) and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of physical and protocol layers (PIPE I/F, PCS, MAC) for one or more common high-speed interfaces.
• Experience with board design, schematics, board layout, and signal integrity.
