Asia Pacific MT Engineer (Rubber Molding)

What you will do

• Serve as the subject matter expert for rubber molding processes, tooling, and manufacturing technologies used in Kalrez® product production.
• Provide technical leadership to contract manufacturing partners on process development, optimization, troubleshooting, and control.
• Improve molding cycle time, yield, scrap reduction, process capability, and product consistency.
• Support new product introductions, process transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
• Analyze process data, identify opportunities to improve robustness and repeatability, and lead defect investigations.
• Develop sustainable corrective actions for molding-related issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, materials, manufacturing, polymer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in rubber manufacturing, elastomer processing, rubber molding, or polymer manufacturing.
• Technical expertise in compression, transfer, injection, or other rubber molding technologies.
• Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions in manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of process capability, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working with manufacturing suppliers or contract manufacturing organizations, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with FFKM, FKM, fluoroelastomers, specialty elastomers, or other high-performance polymers.
• Experience supporting global contract manufacturers and working with tooling design, mold qualification, and validation.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Knowledge of DOE, SPC, MSA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation methodologies.
• Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, medical, specialty chemicals, or other highly regulated and high-performance manufacturing industries.
