Curriculum Designer/Content Writer (Korean-Japanese)

Location: Remote in Korea; candidates based in Korea are preferred and the role requires a 6-month commitment. Working hours and days are flexible, with possible contract extension.

What you will do

• Own the Korean-Japanese curriculum and high-priority content projects from planning and writing through production and launch.
• Develop, edit, and localize pedagogically sound, culturally natural learning materials for Korean hirify.globalers learning Japanese.
• Manage content projects and collaborate with global teams on scope, trade-offs, and execution.
• Maintain and improve content using QA, user testing, learner feedback, peer review, and content analytics.
• Adopt AI-enabled workflows and modern tools to prototype ideas, streamline production, and scale learning materials.

Requirements

• Native-level Korean proficiency and strong cultural intuition for the Korean market.
• Native or near-native Japanese proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese.
• At least 3 years of experience developing Japanese curricula or educational content for Korean adult learners, preferably in an EdTech or language-learning company.
• Deep understanding of spoken fluency development, Korean learner needs, and Japanese-learning challenges.
• Ability to independently deliver high-quality curricula, manage multiple workstreams, and make sound decisions with minimal oversight.
• Based in Korea, able to work remotely for six months, and able to communicate in English with global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with language-learning apps in curriculum design, content production, learning experience design, or pedagogical strategy.
• Experience using LLMs, generators, or internal AI tools to create scalable, instructionally aligned learning materials.
