Senior Mechanical Engineer Analyst (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Beverly, MA, United States

Salary: $121,050.08–$181,575.12 per year, plus eligibility for a team incentive bonus and benefits for regular employees working 20+ hours per week.

What you will do

• Lead advanced FEA and multiphysics simulations for the design, optimization, and troubleshooting of complex systems.
• Own analysis activities end to end, including model setup, validation, and design recommendations.
• Perform linear and nonlinear structural, thermal, vibration, fatigue, and coupled multiphysics analyses.
• Translate simulation results into design improvements that increase product performance and reliability.
• Partner with engineering and process teams to define modeling and validation strategies, and design tests to correlate models with experimental data.
• Influence product architecture, review modeling work as a subject matter expert, establish simulation best practices, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• 5–15+ years of industry experience in FEA or multiphysics modeling.
• Strong proficiency in Ansys Mechanical and Workbench; APDL experience is preferred.
• Experience correlating simulation results with physical testing and applying fundamental physics to practical engineering problems.
• Ability to drive design decisions through analysis and present findings to cross-functional teams and leadership.
• Experience with nonlinear structural analysis, thermal or thermomechanical modeling, vibration or fatigue analysis, or coupled multiphysics simulations.
