Company

hirify.global is developing electrified and digitally enabled pickup trucks and rugged SUVs, including all-electric and range-extender powertrains.

What you will do

  • Lead integration testing and validation of vehicle-side OTA update systems across ECUs, bootloaders, diagnostics, and vehicle networks.
  • Execute end-to-end OTA workflows, including package download, verification, flashing, ECU reboot, post-update validation, and multi-ECU coordination.
  • Validate A/B partitioning, rollback, flash integrity, version compatibility, recovery behavior, and no-brick resilience for safety-critical ECUs.
  • Test OTA diagnostics using UDS over CAN and DoIP, including diagnostic sessions, transfer services, ECU resets, DTC behavior, and protocol failures.
  • Develop OTA test orchestration, automated flashing, log parsing, anomaly detection, and scalable regression suites across SIL, HIL, and vehicle environments.
  • Analyze CAN/Ethernet logs, lead root-cause analysis of cross-domain issues, plan vehicle-level regression, and support integration activities during DV/PV builds.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU software stacks, embedded systems, and automotive development processes.
  • Expertise with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, Automotive Ethernet, LVDS, A2B, UDS diagnostics under ISO 14229, and vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe.
  • Experience developing and verifying plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for HIL environments, including dSPACE ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
  • Expert knowledge of Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, and ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Generation, or PTC Windchill.
  • Strong complex problem-solving, data analysis, collaboration, and technical communication skills.

Culture & Benefits

  • Opportunity to build new electric vehicles and a company around an iconic automotive brand.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and income protection plans.
  • 401(k) with employer match and immediate vesting.
  • 20 days of planned PTO, 40 hours of unplanned PTO, and 14 company or floating holidays annually.
  • Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave, plus paid leave for bereavement, jury duty, voting time, and military leave.
