Software Development Engineer in Test (Java/JavaScript)

Location: Washington, DC, United States. U.S. citizenship is required for DHS Suitability clearance.

What you will do

• Design and develop system test automation scripts using Selenium, Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber, and equivalent tools.
• Plan and estimate test automation solutions, analyzing existing architectures and platforms.
• Design functional, integration, regression, and acceptance tests for distributed systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to support Acceptance Test Driven Development using Gherkin.
• Improve automation frameworks through parallel processing and grid-based execution.
• Define metrics for product quality, testing quality, and engineering feedback.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required for DHS Suitability clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in manual functional and regression testing.
• At least 5 years of experience with Selenium Grid/WebDriver, Protractor, Jasmine, Cucumber/Gherkin, JUnit, TestNG, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• At least 9 years of experience in test automation, including planning, assessment, script development, and maintenance.
• Strong Java and JavaScript programming or scripting skills, plus experience with databases and data formats.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum, UI/UX testing, 508 compliance, and test management tools such as JIRA, Serena Business Manager, or HP Quality Center.
