Quality Engineer II - Bilingual - Contractor (Automotive Electronics)

Location: Aliso Viejo, California, with frequent local travel to Irvine and Fountain Valley and up to approximately 30% domestic and international travel

What you will do

• Lead and support manufacturing and engineering quality investigations, customer-return defect analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Perform initial hardware and software diagnostics, including diagnostic trouble code analysis, bench-test confirmation, log capture, and PCB component-level investigations.
• Analyze warranty claims and quality data to identify trends and drive corrective improvements.
• Conduct and coordinate in-vehicle testing, detailed product analysis, dealership visits, and customer investigations.
• Report quality status to internal stakeholders and external customers while submitting required customer documentation on time.
• Coordinate containment and tracking for emerging quality issues and support daily inspection activities at a local facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in automotive electronics.
• Hands-on experience with PCB analysis, ECU testing, and system-level integration.
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English is required.
• Technical knowledge of automotive electronics quality, strong written and verbal communication, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Knowledge of Minitab, Power BI, Six Sigma, 8D, 5-Why problem solving, and quality-environment root-cause analysis.
• Ability to travel as required, visit local facilities and dealerships, and lift equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, industrial engineering, or a related technical field.
