Manager - Accounting (Fintech)

Location: NYC Headquarters, hybrid

Salary: $115,000–$151,000 annually in New York City; equity and bonus opportunities offered

What you will do

• Lead global month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP.
• Establish accounting team objectives that improve accuracy, shorten the close cycle, and increase reporting transparency.
• Drive workflow automation and system optimization across NetSuite and other fintech systems.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and SOX-readiness.
• Manage and mentor accounting professionals while supporting technical development.
• Partner with Legal, Engineering, and Product on accounting for product launches and complex transactions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience in a high-growth fintech, SaaS, or Big 4 public accounting environment.
• Advanced proficiency with NetSuite and reconciliation software such as Numeric.
• Experience leading large-scale system implementations or optimizations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex financial results and technical accounting issues to non-financial stakeholders and executives.
• Active CPA license preferred.
