MTS Tech Analysis/Database Engineer

Location: Charleston, South Carolina, United States; work is performed primarily in an office or engineering support environment. Only U.S. citizens are eligible, and the role requires eligibility for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Design, modify, develop, and implement C-17 MTS database systems.
• Collect, extract, clean, record, retrieve, and analyze data from C-17 MTS data-collection instruments.
• Implement new and updated Visual and RADAR databases within the existing software baseline.
• Support software application and operating-system installation, testing, review, witnessing, and certification.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs, technical documentation, reports, and database enhancements.
• Coordinate implementation and testing with engineering, test, maintenance, IT, logistics, program-management, customer, and vendor stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or at least eight years of related experience; four years of related experience are required.
• Experience designing enhancements or modifications to existing systems and applying industry design concepts and technical writing skills.
• Working knowledge of COTS tools such as Photoshop, Terra Vista, Global Mapper, ArcMap, and other global imaging software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work independently with minimal supervision, and collaborate in a team environment.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain the required DoD security clearance. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts when required is also necessary.
