Operations Software Analyst II (Control-M)

What you will do

• Monitor and manage client production jobs, end-of-day processing, delivery activities, dependencies, and system health through Control-M.
• Execute and monitor regression runs, hourly application checks, and post-change validation activities.
• Identify failed jobs, analyze sysout and script logs, perform initial troubleshooting or restarts, and follow standard operating procedures for escalation.
• Respond to automated triggers, SNMP traps, and workflow-related system alerts.
• Prepare shift handovers, end-of-shift updates, daily checklists, operational reports, and incident findings.
• Participate in production changes, disaster recovery exercises, patching events, and proactive automation improvements.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience supporting and administering BMC Control-M environments.
• Minimum BS, BSc, or BTech degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep familiarity with Control-M Enterprise Manager and Monitoring.
• Command-line experience in Linux/Unix and Windows Server environments, including checking agent status and system resources.
• Ability to interpret execution sysouts and script failure logs, with basic Shell, PowerShell, or Python scripting knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, coordination, and risk-escalation skills; willingness to work in an on-call rotation or shift environment.

Nice to have

• Experience developing tools, utilities, or automation from scratch using modern technologies.
• Knowledge of Azure concepts and usage.
• Practical experience with AI tools such as Microsoft Office Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
• Experience with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban and project, defect, or test management tools such as JIRA or ALM.
