Senior Product Engineer, Post Processing - Aerospace & Defense

Annual base salary: $106,500–$146,400, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Evaluate customer designs and provide Design for Additive Manufacturing feedback.
• Own process development for post-printing operations, including part movement, depowdering, plate removal, heat treatment, and subcontracted operations.
• Design and implement fixtures and work-holding for depowdering, EDM, heat treatment, machining, assembly, cleaning, marking, and finishing.
• Partner with product and quality teams to optimize processing intent and inspection techniques.
• Build part-specific manufacturing methods in the ERP system and maintain work instructions, quality documentation, programs, files, and revisions under configuration control.
• Troubleshoot production processes and disposition non-conforming material to keep parts moving through the factory.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in product or applications development or manufacturing.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a similarly regulated field.
• Proficiency with advanced 3D CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Experience using ERP systems in batch manufacturing.
• Mastery of GD&T, statistical process capability, tolerance stack-up analysis, and complex DFM/DfAM constraints.
• Strong knowledge of 5-axis milling, turning, EDM, depowdering, and build plate resurfacing integrated with additive workflows.
