Salary: $160,000–$225,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Design structures and ground systems used to launch and control flight vehicles.
- Own mechanical components and assemblies from initial architecture through integrated testing, manufacturing, and production ramp.
- Perform structural analysis, develop manufacturing processes, and define validation and environmental testing requirements.
- Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings in SOLIDWORKS for complex aerospace systems.
- Run testing and design iteration cycles to improve reliability and performance across operating environments.
- Manage product lifecycle activities from supply-chain sourcing through final assembly, integration, and high-rate in-house manufacturing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 9+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis, including 5+ years developing manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SOLIDWORKS, with experience managing large assembly models and drawings.
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, welded structures, vehicle systems, actuation systems, GD&T, structural analysis, and mechanical failure modes.
- Experience owning a complex component or assembly from design through medium- to high-volume production and applying design-for-manufacturability principles.
- Must satisfy ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations. Extended hours and weekends may be required.
