Company

hirify.global is an aerospace and defense startup developing rocket and missile launch systems, supported by an experienced founding team and defense-focused leadership.

What you will do

  • Design structures and ground systems used to launch and control flight vehicles.
  • Own mechanical components and assemblies from initial architecture through integrated testing, manufacturing, and production ramp.
  • Perform structural analysis, develop manufacturing processes, and define validation and environmental testing requirements.
  • Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings in SOLIDWORKS for complex aerospace systems.
  • Run testing and design iteration cycles to improve reliability and performance across operating environments.
  • Manage product lifecycle activities from supply-chain sourcing through final assembly, integration, and high-rate in-house manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 9+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis, including 5+ years developing manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SOLIDWORKS, with experience managing large assembly models and drawings.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal design, welded structures, vehicle systems, actuation systems, GD&T, structural analysis, and mechanical failure modes.
  • Experience owning a complex component or assembly from design through medium- to high-volume production and applying design-for-manufacturability principles.
  • Must satisfy ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations. Extended hours and weekends may be required.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to production machinery, industrial sensors, motion and dispense systems, temperature controllers, laser distance sensors, injection molders, and die casters.

Culture & Benefits

  • Equity compensation.
  • Healthcare, vision, and dental coverage.
  • 401(k) benefits.
  • Lunch provided.
  • Close collaboration with partner teams to operate an optimized in-house manufacturing line.
