TL;DR
Process Lab Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Operating and continuously improving the ACE Service Lab for reticle and wafer preparation, particle inspection, process execution, and equipment maintenance with an accent on semiconductor cleanroom operations and manufacturing quality. Focus on troubleshooting process and equipment issues, implementing corrective actions, supporting NPI and industrialization projects, and driving improvements through SPC and Lean Manufacturing.
Location: Onsite at the Linkou Factory in Linkou, Taiwan; second-shift operations from 16:00 to 01:00; cleanroom work required.
Company
operates a Linkou manufacturing and engineering site supporting mature semiconductor products, including PAS5500, Twinscan, Special Applications, YieldStar, and Reticle Handler product lines.
What you will do
- Own daily ACE Service Lab operations supporting reticle and wafer preparation.
- Perform particle inspection, coating, developing, reticle cleaning, and related laboratory processes.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot track systems, particle inspection tools, sorters, and associated process equipment.
- Execute preventive and periodic maintenance, investigate manufacturing issues, and support escalation and deviation handling.
- Collaborate with Production Engineering, Technical Leads, Project Leads, Facilities, and Operations teams to improve process efficiency.
- Support NPI and industrialization projects, analyze process and equipment data, and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Science, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, laboratory operations, process engineering, or equipment engineering.
- Experience working in a semiconductor cleanroom and operating, maintaining, or troubleshooting semiconductor process equipment.
- Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, problem-solving, independent working, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Willingness to work onsite in a cleanroom and support the second shift from 16:00 to 01:00.
- Good English communication skills required for understanding equipment interfaces, technical documentation, and work instructions.
Nice to have
- Experience with lithography-related processes, wafer preparation, reticle handling, coating, developing, or particle inspection.
- Experience with track systems, sorters, SP1/SP3, or similar inspection equipment.
- Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, semiconductor chemical handling, or laboratory operations.
- Experience with NPI, process transfer, manufacturing qualification, or continuous improvement projects.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team development.
