Advisor, Customer Service (Manufacturing)

Location: Decatur, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

What you will do

• Serve as the primary contact for external customers and maintain internal and external customer relationships.
• Handle customer inquiries, coordinate quotes, and provide timely responses.
• Review purchase orders against the AS9100 Quality Standard, set up customer information, create part master data, and process sales orders.
• Process customer complaints and product returns.
• Manage multiple accounts and perform inside sales activities, including collecting forecasts, developing pricing and discounts, and identifying growth opportunities.
• Improve customer service processes by supporting creative initiatives, reducing waste, and applying lean business practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Marketing, or a similar field, or a comparable combination of education and work experience.
• Customer-facing experience and strong written and verbal communication skills, including participation in and leadership of online meetings.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to self-direct, assess work scope, plan and schedule tasks, meet daily deadlines, and maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Ability to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Exposure to a manufacturing environment.
• Machine drawing and blueprint reading skills.
• Experience working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment.
