Salary: $90,000–$120,000 annual base salary, excluding additional benefits.

hirify.global is a fast-growing aerospace startup that manufactures satellite buses at scale using software, vertical integration, and manufacturing-focused hardware.

What you will do

  • Own sensor products across conceptualization, architecture, design, analysis, prototyping, qualification, and production.
  • Provide technical solutions, guidance, and documentation as the hardware Responsible Engineering Authority during production.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and tasking within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Define and execute sensor verification, validation, qualification, and test campaigns, including test plans, procedures, reports, and test stations.
  • Lead failure investigations and root cause analyses, incorporating lessons learned into future designs.
  • Perform system- and component-level trade studies and collaborate across structures, thermal, optics, avionics, software, GNC, manufacturing, mission assurance, and supply chain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, optical, mechanical, computer, or software engineering, applied physics, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience developing, prototyping, integrating, and/or testing multidisciplinary systems.
  • Experience with hardware, project, or product ownership.
  • Strong understanding of test engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
  • Leadership, time management, organizational skills, and the ability to create clean-sheet subsystem architectures.
  • Self-motivation and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment.

Nice to have

  • 1–2 years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or other technical product development or testing.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant engineering or applied physics discipline.
  • Experience developing, designing, implementing, or testing sensor systems.
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFMA principles, satellite systems, space environments, hardware product lifecycles, and project management techniques.
