NY Licensed 1099 Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Location: 100% remote within the United States. Flexible scheduling is available between 8:00am and 12:00am Eastern Time, seven days a week; at least 8 hours of commitment is requested.

Compensation: $153 for 60-minute intakes, $49 for 30-minute follow-ups, $51 for no-show intakes, $25 for no-show follow-ups, and $100 per hour for collaborative and all-hands meetings.

What you will do

• Conduct virtual psychiatric evaluations, medication management appointments, and biopsychosocial intakes.
• Create clear diagnostic assessments and whole-person treatment plans for college-aged students.
• Assess the urgency of escalating risk scenarios and provide appropriate clinical care.
• Document clinical encounters to support care coordination.
• Collaborate with supervisors, peers, campus treatment providers, and care navigation teams.
• Develop longer-term treatment plans with campus care teams when needed.

Requirements

• Valid Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner license in New York.
• Full Practice Authority in New York to practice independently without physician supervision.
• At least one year of experience in an outpatient community mental health setting.
• Experience treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, and substance use disorders in college-aged students.
• Experience with culturally responsive treatment and diverse patient groups.
• A quality video camera and stable internet connection for virtual care.
