TL;DR
Sr. Staff Electrical Engineer (Aerospace): Designing and developing complex PCBAs and electrical subsystems for next-generation radar systems with an accent on mixed-signal, power, timing, control electronics, and board-level ownership. Focus on hardware bring-up, electrical validation, root-cause analysis, prototype-to-production development, and integration with RF, mechanical, embedded software, manufacturing, and systems teams.

Location: Denver, Colorado; based in the Colorado Springs area with regular onsite collaboration required

Salary: $212,000 base salary plus bonus, stock options, and benefits

What you will do

  • Design complex PCBAs and electrical subsystems for next-generation radar hardware.
  • Own board-level hardware from requirements and schematic capture through layout, bring-up, validation, and production.
  • Design mixed-signal, power, timing, and control electronics for demanding operating environments.
  • Perform laboratory hardware bring-up, debugging, root-cause analysis, and electrical validation.
  • Integrate hardware with RF, mechanical, embedded software, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams.
  • Support prototype builds, design reviews, manufacturing transitions, government stakeholder collaboration, and engineering automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience designing complex board-level electronics from concept through production.
  • Strong experience with Altium Designer or equivalent PCB design software.
  • Strong mixed-signal design fundamentals, including power integrity, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC-aware layout.
  • Hands-on experience with board bring-up, debugging, electrical validation, LTspice, and Python-based engineering tools or test automation.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. personnel security clearance and required ITAR authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Active Top Secret clearance; SCI eligibility.
  • Experience with radar, aerospace, defense, communications, FPGA, embedded processors, or high-speed digital hardware.
  • Experience supporting hardware through manufacturing and deployment or working with government customers.
  • Familiarity with RF system integration and Arena or another PLM system.
