EE Hardware Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year, with flexibility between salary and equity-based compensation.

What you will do

• Develop advanced electronic platforms from architecture through manufacturing.
• Design and validate digital and mixed-signal electronics for radar payloads and satellite platforms.
• Create requirements, perform system trades, select components, capture schematics, and design complex electronic assemblies.
• Lead prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, manufacturing, and test campaigns.
• Collaborate with software, firmware, RF, antenna, mechanical, and systems engineers.
• Iterate designs based on laboratory, environmental, and on-orbit testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Experience designing, fabricating, and testing electronics.
• 4+ years of full-lifecycle electrical engineering experience from concept through production.
• Experience with high-speed board design, PCB fabrication, signal and power integrity, EMC requirements, and EMI mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with compute platforms, storage, high-speed interfaces, and RF components.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the required ITAR authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience in consumer electronics, power electronics, communications, automotive, aerospace, or robotics.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer, Allegro, ORCAD, LTSPICE, ADS, Microwave Office, MATLAB, or Python.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and EM or thermal PCB simulation.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
