Critical Facilities Manager

Location: Pecos, TX, United States; full-time onsite. Occasional travel between data centers may be required. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with 24/7 on-call responsibility for data center emergencies and events.

What you will do

• Manage the operation and maintenance of critical and noncritical data center infrastructure and physical assets.
• Build and lead a team of engineers, technicians, assistant managers, and outside contractors to achieve 100% availability.
• Manage power and cooling capacity, environmental conditions, preventive maintenance, and facility systems across the data halls.
• Resolve electrical, mechanical, and fire protection system issues while minimizing operational and customer impact.
• Act as the primary facility contact for customers, coordinating schedules, projects, budgets, expansions, staffing, SLAs, and change control.
• Oversee site onboarding, operating procedures, CMMS processes, quality reviews, maintenance contracts, subcontractors, and compliance with standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, technical school training in mission-critical operations or high-performance manufacturing, related military experience, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments.
• 3+ years of direct management experience with non-exempt, shift-based employees.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder management, analytical, decision-making, and financial skills, including budgeting and invoicing.
• Ability to read complex drawings and documentation and work effectively in high-pressure, mission-critical environments.
