Analyst, Purchasing Project Steering (Automotive)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; 4–5 days of office attendance required. Regular in-person meetings, events, and occasional business travel are expected.

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Identify and evaluate suppliers for parts and services, including pre-sourcing audits.
• Develop sourcing strategies for assigned commodities and product groups and lead sourcing through contract award.
• Manage supplier industrialization during pre-production to meet timing, cost, quality, and project requirements.
• Evaluate and implement technical changes to parts and services while maintaining cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
• Lead cross-functional assessments of supplier readiness for mass production with Quality, Engineering, and Logistics.
• Prepare and execute contractual documents and supplier nomination agreements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing, including procurement category strategy development and execution.
• Experience managing supplier performance and supplier relationships.
• Program management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of automotive, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Ability to communicate across organizational levels, manage multiple workstreams, and solve complex problems creatively.
• Minimum high school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
