Full Stack Software Engineer, Atlas Applications (Robotics)

Location: Waltham, Massachusetts, United States; eligible to work in the United States

Base pay: $117,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Build Atlas agentic capabilities using VLMs, tool calls, context engineering, and memory.
• Develop operator dashboards, task configuration interfaces, and diagnostic tools for Atlas applications.
• Design observability frameworks, structured logging, and tracing infrastructure.
• Create evaluations and benchmarks for reasoning quality, safety, reliability, and generalization.
• Collaborate with experts in agentic systems, behavior, controls, perception, product, and interaction design to deliver end-to-end capabilities.
• Work with customers and internal stakeholders to understand real-world use cases and build practical solutions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong full stack background.
• Experience spanning frontend, backend, and LLM integrations, including API and third-party service integration.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software architecture.
• Proficiency with React, Python or TypeScript, and databases such as Postgres, Redis, or Pinecone.
• Ability to ship reliable, maintainable, and well-tested software using agentic coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLM products, agentic systems, prompt engineering, context window management, or tool-use orchestration.
• Experience with robotics systems, vision models, or real-time data pipelines.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and evaluation frameworks for AI systems.
