What you will do

• Resolve mass-market customer issues through case tickets, live chat, and phone support.
• Guide customers through embedded hardware, firmware, and software design challenges.
• Analyze root causes, electrical schematics, and hardware behavior using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab tools.
• Create example source code, knowledge-base articles, application notes, chatbot content, reports, and other technical resources.
• Collaborate with product engineering, applications engineering, field support, and sales teams to improve customer outcomes.
• Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training while supporting AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in embedded firmware, hardware design, or embedded systems development.
• Strong programming skills in C and C++ for embedded applications.
• Solid understanding of embedded hardware, firmware, and software design principles.
• Experience debugging hardware with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electronic lab tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and customer-support skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microchip products and development tools.
• Experience with Ethernet, networking technologies, networking protocols, or connected embedded systems.
• Familiarity with AI and machine-learning technologies and their use in technical support or engineering workflows.
• Master’s degree in a related discipline.
