TL;DR
(Senior) Lab Technician (Catalysis): Scaling laboratory operations and analysis capabilities for a carbon electrolyzer technology with an accent on chemical and physical characterization, electrochemical testing, and pilot-scale feedstock preparation. Focus on producing electrodes, developing characterization methods, managing laboratory safety and supplies, and coordinating external laboratory collaborations.
Location: On-site in Saint-Ouen, France; Monday to Thursday 10:00β18:00 and Friday 10:00β17:00.

What you will do
- Prepare samples and pilot-scale chemical feedstocks for daily characterization work.
- Perform routine chemical and physical characterization, including NMR, titration, DLS, and compression tests.
- Carry out electrochemical characterization and contribute to developing new methods.
- Produce electrodes and manage general laboratory operations, including inventories, maintenance, quality control, testing, and task automation.
- Manage chemical waste and gas handling, maintain clean workspaces, and ensure laboratory supplies remain available.
- Coordinate external laboratory characterization collaborations and prepare reports for the team.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in an industrial or research chemistry laboratory.
- Experience with laboratory or industrial work, including at least one research or industry position.
- Fluent French for communication with external suppliers and working-level English for daily team communication.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with a reliable, action-oriented, and collaborative approach.
- Commitment to laboratory safety, risk awareness, problem-solving, and the development of safety rules, procedures, and risk assessments.
Nice to have
- Experience with NMR, DLS, or titration.
- Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
