(Senior) Lab Technician (Catalysis)

Location: On-site in Saint-Ouen, France; Monday to Thursday 10:00–18:00 and Friday 10:00–17:00.

What you will do

• Prepare samples and pilot-scale chemical feedstocks for daily characterization work.
• Perform routine chemical and physical characterization, including NMR, titration, DLS, and compression tests.
• Carry out electrochemical characterization and contribute to developing new methods.
• Produce electrodes and manage general laboratory operations, including inventories, maintenance, quality control, testing, and task automation.
• Manage chemical waste and gas handling, maintain clean workspaces, and ensure laboratory supplies remain available.
• Coordinate external laboratory characterization collaborations and prepare reports for the team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial or research chemistry laboratory.
• Experience with laboratory or industrial work, including at least one research or industry position.
• Fluent French for communication with external suppliers and working-level English for daily team communication.
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills, with a reliable, action-oriented, and collaborative approach.
• Commitment to laboratory safety, risk awareness, problem-solving, and the development of safety rules, procedures, and risk assessments.

Nice to have

• Experience with NMR, DLS, or titration.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field.
