Manufacturing is an industrial manufacturing group focused on engineering, automation, fabrication, assembly, and contract manufacturing, with Composite Resources producing composite components and tooling for aerospace and defense customers.
What you will do
- Oversee daily purchasing activities and manage purchase orders, including pull-ins, push-outs, cancellations, and shortage mitigation.
- Resolve critical material shortages and supplier constraints while leading recovery plans for delivery, quality, and capacity issues.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, and service-level commitments; develop and maintain long-term supplier agreements.
- Partner with Engineering on cost reduction, alternative sourcing, and specification optimization initiatives.
- Supervise, prioritize, and develop purchasing and supply chain personnel, including coaching on ERP use and procurement strategy.
- Track shortages, past-due purchase orders, rush expenses, and supplier delivery performance, providing visibility into material risks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
- 3+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience managing supplier performance, material availability, new program launches, or sustained production agreements.
- Strong experience with ERP systems such as JobBOSS, Infor SyteLine, or equivalent.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong negotiation, problem-solving, and supplier relationship management abilities.
- Ability to make independent decisions under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment.
