Senior Principal Engineering Program Manager (ASIC)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $205,000–$250,000 per year, depending on experience, level, and business need. Eligible for discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end execution of advanced-node ASIC programs from architecture, RTL, verification, and physical design through tapeout, validation, qualification, and release to manufacturing.
• Serve as the single point of ownership for assigned ASIC programs and manage planning, schedules, budgets, resources, and risks.
• Lead cross-functional teams across design, validation, product, test, firmware, software, and operations.
• Resolve complex pre-silicon and post-silicon issues using strong technical judgment.
• Manage scope, schedule, and cost trade-offs while aligning engineering delivery with business and customer goals.
• Communicate program status and decisions clearly to executives and stakeholders.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• 10+ years of ASIC product development experience in a semiconductor environment.
• Hands-on experience with RTL, DSP, or physical design and a strong understanding of ASIC development flows.
• Experience delivering ASICs in advanced nodes below 10nm.
• Ability to lead in a matrixed, high-pressure environment.
• Strong program management skills and familiarity with MS Project, Jira, Atlassian tools, Scrum, and WBS.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience as an ASIC Program Manager.
• Experience with PCIe, memory, or high-speed data communication ASICs.
