Technical Accountant

What you will do

• Execute month-end close workflows, journal entries, account reconciliations, and anomaly investigations for complex accounting areas.
• Research complex US GAAP issues and prepare clear, audit-ready technical accounting memos.
• Operationalize accounting conclusions for ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 842 leases, ASC 718 stock-based compensation, and equity.
• Evaluate non-routine transactions, including business combinations and investments, and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
• Prepare financial statement information, account roll-forwards, and footnote disclosures to public-company-level standards.
• Partner with Legal, FP&A, HR, Corporate Development, and external auditors while improving controls and automating workflows with LLMs and agents.

Requirements

• Active CPA, CA(SA), or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in technical accounting, financial reporting, or public audit; Big Four experience is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP or the ability to bridge quickly from IFRS.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting.
• Experience researching and documenting complex accounting matters and designing and implementing processes and controls.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly preferred.
