Recycle Technician

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States

Salary: $16–$17 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

What you will do

• Collect, salvage, inspect, sort, and organize reusable, recyclable, and waste materials.
• Maintain docks, collection areas, workspaces, logs, and schedules.
• Work with multiple collection containers and complete assigned punch-list items.
• Follow safety rules, company procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements.
• Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers.
• Support a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible operation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent training and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• Valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and hazardous waste handling training under RCRA may be required.
• Completed safety and task training certifications are required.

Nice to have

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.
• Bilingual communication skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, compounds, and chemicals.
