Floor Technician

Location: Boise, Idaho, United States

Salary: $17.00–$18.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform floor care for tile, carpet, and brick flooring, including waxing, stripping, and buffing.
• Operate and maintain motorized cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
• Use cleaning chemicals, supplies, personal protective equipment, and safety signs according to procedures.
• Maintain assigned areas, clean workspaces, and complete daily upkeep and punch-list assignments.
• Support custodial, recycling, and maintenance coverage during staff shortages.
• Report safety hazards and communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers.

Requirements

• Six months to one year of relevant experience is preferred; equivalent education and experience may be accepted.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment care, compounds, and safe chemical use.
• Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
• A valid driver's license, safety and task training certification, or forklift certification may be required.
• Ability to work independently, follow supervision, and comply with safety procedures.
