Recycle Technician

Location: Irving, TX, United States

Salary: $14.75–$15.75 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, salvage, inspect, and sort reusable, recyclable, and waste materials.
• Maintain docks, collection areas, multiple collection containers, logs, and schedules.
• Support the shift lead with punch-list items and complete assigned repetitive tasks safely.
• Follow safety rules, company procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental reporting practices.
• Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, coworkers, managers, and customers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of recycling experience in a company environment or equivalent training and experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion of required safety and task training certifications.
• Ability to lift or move up to 35 pounds and work safely in the assigned environment.

Nice to have

• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification.
• RCRA hazardous waste handling training.
• Bilingual communication skills.
