System Software Engineer, Cloud (C++/Python)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office work is required.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and review features for the hirify.global Cloud Dedicated data path using C++ and/or Python.
• Improve resiliency, performance, high availability, failover behavior, capacity expansion, data reduction, and cost efficiency across AWS and Azure.
• Analyze CI pipeline and automated test failures, debug issues on CBS testbeds, and deliver code fixes.
• Investigate customer-environment issues from escalation through root-cause analysis and long-term remediation.
• Collaborate with data-plane, control-plane, QE, Support, Product Management, and Solution Architecture teams in Prague and the US.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Solid software engineering foundation with experience building and maintaining backend or system-level production components.
• Strong programming skills in C++ or Python and willingness to learn additional technologies.
• Experience owning software end to end, including design, implementation, testing, CI pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and production hardening.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills across logs, CI failures, APIs, services, and cloud components.
• Curiosity about storage, networking, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems, together with clear communication and collaboration skills.
• Expected to work from the Prague office in accordance with hirify.global policies.

Nice to have

• Experience building or operating products in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with reliability, performance, or cost optimization in public cloud environments.
• Experience with Linux, multithreaded or performance-sensitive code, or CI/CD automation.
