Principal Engineer - Technical Delivery Lead (C++/Go)

Location: Full-time onsite in Warminster, Wiltshire, five days per week. Candidates must have been resident in the UK for the last five years and be eligible to obtain mandatory UK Security Clearance.

What you will do

• Lead developers and act as hirify.global's primary technical contact at the Warminster site.
• Maintain technical accountability across multiple concurrent projects and deliver complete working training systems.
• Support solution architecture development and translate architectures into implementation.
• Make technical decisions across modelling, integration, and platform usage.
• Resolve modelling, integration, deployment, and platform issues across engineering disciplines.
• Ensure solutions are composable, reusable, platform-first, and maintain delivery momentum across parallel workstreams.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading software development and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience engaging with Ministry of Defence customers and commercial content providers.
• Strong understanding of modelling and simulation principles and distributed systems design.
• Professional experience with C++ and Go.
• Knowledge of cloud-native development, SDLC, Kubernetes, containerisation, CI/CD, ORAS, and ArgoCD.
• Mandatory UK Security Clearance eligibility and five years of UK residency; availability for five days per week onsite in Warminster.
