Tech Lead Manager (Go)

Location: West London, United Kingdom; office-based four days a week with one remote day of choice

Salary: £130,000–£160,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage a technical team of approximately 10 developers, including planning, delivery, career development, and hiring.
• Architect medium- and large-sized features for products such as Passenger and Billing.
• Collaborate with designers, testers, and product managers to gather requirements and define project goals.
• Participate in the analysis, design, and evaluation of technical requirements with the team.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code, mainly in Go.
• Review peer code and maintain technical documentation, including software design documents and user guides.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing scalable and reliable backend services.
• Proficiency in Go, Ruby, Python, C++, Java, or Kotlin.
• In-depth knowledge of databases and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English proficiency required.
• Experience with technologies including Go microservices, Node.js, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Thrift, and the listed databases and messaging systems.
