NDT Level II Technician

Hourly rate: $35–$52 per hour

What you will do

• Develop and maintain NDT procedures, techniques, and work instructions in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Perform nondestructive testing examinations, interpret and evaluate results, and prepare inspection reports and supporting documentation.
• Support WPS and PQR development, weld process qualification, and evaluation of new welding processes.
• Interpret construction, welding, fabrication, and inspection codes to establish examination and acceptance requirements.
• Develop inspection methodologies, troubleshoot production issues, and support root-cause investigations of weld and fabrication quality problems.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, welding, and quality teams while mentoring NDT personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of experience in a relevant technical or engineering environment.
• High school diploma and professional certifications, or demonstrated equivalent ability.
• Certification in one or more NDT methods and experience writing NDT procedures.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to make recommendations using first-principles reasoning with partial information.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) certification.
• Strong fabrication, structural, piping, and welding process experience.
• Hands-on technical experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience delivering work in fast-paced, highly technical environments under tight timelines or budget constraints.
