Company

hirify.global develops capital equipment and control solutions for the semiconductor industry.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, integrate, and support industrial automation and control systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and electromechanical subsystems.
  • Develop PLC-based control logic, automation sequences, interlocks, alarms, and machine-state control.
  • Configure and validate EtherCAT networks for servo drives, remote I/O, sensors, actuators, and distributed subsystems.
  • Support FPGA-based controls, real-time signal processing, hardware interfacing, and deterministic control functions.
  • Use MATLAB and related tools for modeling, simulation, tuning, data analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Lead or support integration, testing, root-cause analysis, qualification, production support, and cross-functional technical improvement.

Requirements

  • 3–10 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation, controls engineering, motion control, robotics, semiconductor equipment, or related electromechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of control theory, industrial automation architectures, servo systems, and system-level integration.
  • Hands-on PLC programming experience, including automation sequencing, industrial I/O, and machine control.
  • Experience with MATLAB, EtherCAT-based systems, industrial communication networks, distributed control architectures, and FPGA-based controls or real-time hardware.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, controls, and software interactions; interpret schematics and technical drawings; and perform hands-on debugging.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, controls, automation, mechatronics, robotics, computer engineering, or a related field; ability to work in a cleanroom environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with structured text, ladder logic, EtherCAT masters, servo drives, remote I/O, and distributed motion-control systems.
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, Python, or similar engineering and data-analysis tools.
  • Experience with FPGA development workflows, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, vacuum systems, ANN, ML, or predictive diagnostics.
  • PhD degree or equivalent practical experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Collaboration across software, electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, systems, and field engineering teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute across design, development, integration, qualification, and production support.
  • Domestic and international travel as required, typically less than 10%.
  • Regular employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and team incentive bonus plan.
