Avionics Electrical Engineer (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Design, test, and integrate GNC systems, electrical hardware, control software, power distribution, and RF communications.
• Design and test custom electrical systems for ground-test and flight applications.
• Ensure compatibility and integration at subsystem and integrated-system levels.
• Develop control and instrumentation systems for engine, structural, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines and support test campaigns, including short-notice travel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 1+ year of experience in areas such as electrical hardware design, control systems, instrumentation, signal conditioning, communication buses, analog design, power electronics, or harness design.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export control requirements.
• Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills, hands-on approach, and engineering project experience.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, or a similar discipline.
• Experience with embedded design, device integration, verification and validation, environmental qualification, or flight testing.
• Familiarity with DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, SPICE, Ansys, Altium Designer, Siemens NX, Teamcenter, Capital Harness, and Git.
• Experience with avionics devices and protocols such as RS-485, ARINC-685, FPGAs, GPS, INS, and D38999-style connectors.
• Knowledge of aerospace standards and DC power systems.
