Senior Informatics Engineer (AI)

Salary: $134,000–$161,700 per year, plus bonus and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Design, implement, integrate, develop, administer, and test informatics solutions supporting research pipelines and scientific workflows.
• Build and deploy AI agentic tools and LLM-powered workflows to automate scientific data processes and accelerate research decisions.
• Implement data warehouses, data lakes, ETL pipelines, and data automation processes for research data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers, stakeholders, and R&D leadership to define requirements, applications, integrations, and digital architecture roadmaps.
• Design enterprise data platform architecture, document systems and operational plans, and ensure data architecture integrity.
• Coordinate end-user training and support while monitoring system usage, metrics, and portfolio execution.

Requirements

• BS with 5+ years of relevant experience or MS with 3+ years in computer science, life science, engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with ELN, LIMS, scientific data management, compound registration, sample inventory, instrument data capture, and assay results, including platforms such as Dotmatics and CDD Vault.
• Experience administering, implementing, and integrating AI/ML and data lake platforms such as Databricks, plus hands-on experience building LLM-integrated applications or AI agentic workflows.
• Programming and query experience with Python, SQL, JavaScript, React, and Java; familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, Docker, containers, and AWS.
• Experience designing computational workflows, documenting software requirements and specifications, and integrating systems in scientific, laboratory, life sciences, or biopharmaceutical environments.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex initiatives and present to scientific, technical, and research leadership audiences.
