Sr. Test & Validation Engineer – Charging (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead system integration, testing, validation, and documentation of electric-vehicle charging and powertrain functions.
• Validate AC charging, fast charging, country variants for China, the US, and Europe, charging control processes, charging profiles, driver information, remote monitoring, and failsafe modes.
• Define test plans and strategies aligned with function integration plans, vehicle milestones, safety goals, and functional safety requirements.
• Generate test cases, execute tests, prepare reports, and manage function-release testing at system and vehicle level.
• Analyze failures, report issues, track resolution, and plan bug-fix testing.
• Coordinate with lab engineers, component owners, VCU software development, and powertrain colleagues in Nanjing on testing, automation, and V-model coverage.

Requirements

• More than 8 years of relevant automotive industry experience.
• More than 5 years of powertrain integration, test, and validation experience for HEV, PHEV, or BEV vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of electric-vehicle charging, battery systems, HV safety, and HV/EE vehicle architectures.
• Experience with vehicle development processes, testing plans, thermal-management functions, and international or national electrical safety standards.
• Proficiency with CANoe, CANape/INCA, and tools for low- and high-voltage analog measurements.
• A BA or Master’s degree in engineering is essential.

Nice to have

• Experience with VCU, BMS, or charger software and hardware development.
• Experience with EV HIL, LabCar, PIL test benches and EV vehicle build-up.
• Experience in EE integration, test and validation, functional safety, or system/component-level failure mode analysis.
