Software Engineer, Security Components (Backend Security)

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office at the Prague office

What you will do

• Design and operate highly available backend services for authentication, authorization, certificate lifecycles, and secure remote access.
• Own services end to end, from architecture and STRIDE threat modeling through deployment, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Work with Security Governance and product teams to turn security requirements into automated workflows and secure integrations.
• Participate in a global follow-the-sun on-call rotation, perform root-cause analysis, and harden security-sensitive infrastructure.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code patterns that enforce least-privilege principles and improve deployment security.

Requirements

• Experience building and scaling production backend services, ideally with Go or Python, in AWS or comparable cloud environments.
• Knowledge of API design, system reliability, PKI, certificates, TLS/mTLS, OAuth/OIDC, IAM, and defense-in-depth security.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code, and observability through metrics, logging, and alerting.
• Ability to break down complex infrastructure challenges into incremental, shippable milestones while maintaining auditability and safety.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to share operational responsibilities within a collaborative team.
• Work from the Prague office is expected in accordance with company policies, except during PTO, work travel, or other approved leave.
