Sr. Technology Development Engineer (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain power IC devices and semiconductor processes, including DMOS, Bipolar, CMOS, and high-voltage technologies.
• Collaborate with the foundry group and fabrication foundry personnel on device, process, and process-change development and qualification.
• Define design rules for analog process technologies and verify them against design rule checks with the CAD group.
• Work with design, mask design, mask shop, product engineering, and foundry teams on device requirements, layouts, tooling, and yield questions.
• Design semiconductor devices to meet electrical specifications, define process experiments, and perform process and device simulations.
• Create test-structure layouts using CAD software and conduct wafer-level electrical measurements.

Requirements

• Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
• At least 3 years of experience in analog process and device development for candidates with a Master’s degree; Ph.D. candidates are also considered.
• Familiarity with Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS, and high-voltage devices.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics, process and device simulation, design rules, SPICE model extraction, graphics layout software, and mask-making requirements.
• Position based in San Jose, California.
