Engineering Technician (Graphene Photonics)

What you will do

• Test and characterize graphene photonics devices, including modulators, photodetectors, integrated circuits, and optical I/O components.
• Perform electrical, optical, and optoelectronic measurements to validate device performance and quality requirements.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, coordinating repairs and maintenance with vendors.
• Collect, analyze, and document characterization data for statistical process control, yield monitoring, reliability testing, and failure analysis.
• Implement and optimize test procedures, automated measurement solutions, and production test processes.
• Support Design-for-Test validation, supplier qualification, incoming material characterization, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field, or relevant vocational training and industry experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor, photonic, or optoelectronic device testing and characterization.
• Experience working in a laboratory, cleanroom, or manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with wafer-level measurement systems, electrical and optical probing, and advanced semiconductor and photonic test instrumentation.
• Experience with automated test routines and measurement software such as Python, MATLAB, or LabVIEW.
• Knowledge of measurement uncertainty, calibration, quality control, laboratory documentation, cleanroom protocols, contamination control, ESD, and optical safety.
