Verification & Validation (V&V) Deployment Engineer (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Onsite 5 days a week at the Santa Clara, CA or Fort Worth, TX office

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Support autonomous truck deployments, fleet launches, vehicle commissioning, acceptance testing, and operational handoffs.
• Develop and execute vehicle, software, and system-level validation plans, including route, map, regression, and release testing.
• Verify vehicle configurations, calibrations, software versions, system performance, and deployment readiness.
• Analyze vehicle logs, operational data, test results, disengagements, anomalies, and safety events to investigate field issues.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Fleet, Mapping, Safety, Autonomy, and Software teams to reproduce issues and validate corrective actions.
• Prepare deployment reports, validation summaries, readiness assessments, dashboards, and release sign-off evidence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in verification and validation, vehicle testing, autonomous vehicles, robotics, ADAS, automotive systems, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of system-level testing and validation methodologies, including field-test execution and test-result analysis.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic deployment environment.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Santa Clara, CA or Fort Worth, TX.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting autonomous vehicle deployments, fleet operations, route and map validation, release testing, or operational readiness assessments.
• Familiarity with vehicle sensors, autonomy systems, perception systems, fleet operations, log analysis, data analytics, and visualization tools.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Grafana, Foxglove, Jupyter Notebooks, or similar tools.
