What you will do

  • Establish and maintain quality standards for raw materials used in polyimide manufacturing.
  • Monitor incoming material quality with SPC tools and resolve supplier-related issues through root cause investigations and mitigation plans.
  • Conduct supplier audits, quality meetings, performance reviews, and improvement initiatives.
  • Manage raw material, sub-supplier, and supplier process changes through qualification planning, trials, and data packages.
  • Assess supplier risks, identify second-source opportunities, and evaluate new suppliers.
  • Coordinate analytical work with subject matter experts and connect material parameters to process and product performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, development or scale-up, quality, or continuous improvement engineering.
  • Experience with cause-and-effect analysis, FMEAs, DOE, control charts, Gage R&R, and ANOVA.
  • Experience using statistical software such as Minitab or JMP, plus advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Process engineering background, project and change management experience, and experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with manufacturing, product quality stakeholders, and suppliers.

Nice to have

  • Semiconductor industry experience.
  • Knowledge of polyimide materials, analytical and material characterization techniques, and results interpretation.
  • Experience managing projects in a global, cross-cultural environment.
  • Six Sigma project certification.
